A couple years ago, there was this campaign, “Be a tourist in your hometown.”  Of course, to do that, I would have to go to all the interesting places in Topeka, KS.  All two of them.  Ohhh, NOLA.  I love you and your deep-seated, often understandable wariness for strangers and outsiders.  Love you warts and all.

I had family in town.  We went to Longue Vue House & Gardens.  I had never been.
